The Darlington CAP Debt Centre services are temporarily suspended due to the sudden resignation of the Manager, Rachel Ryan, at the end of February due to serious illness.

Rachel had recently suffered the completely unexpected and very rapid onset of serious debilitating health problems, which left her with no other option than to stop work. Sadly, Rachel passed away on 31st March.

Although the Darlington CAP Debt Centre is not currently receiving any new clients, in the interim CAP Head Office is still providing financial services to existing clients and the caseload is being dealt with by other CAP Centre Managers.

St Andrew’s Church is in the process of recruiting a Debt Centre Manager to continue the good work that Rachel started. The recruitment has to be undertaken in coordination with the CAP Head Office and we are largely driven by their timetable for recruitment and training. We anticipate that we will make an appointment in early October.

In the meantime, if you are concerned about debt issues, please contact CAP Head Office on 0800 328 0006 or via the website I want help | Christians Against Poverty (capuk.org)

We are very grateful for the generosity of the Ballinger Charitable Trust, Darlington Building Society and County Durham Community Foundation who have all recognised the value of the work we are trying to carry out in our local area. We offer thanks to allb in the local community who help us by supporting the work of CAP.
