The planned Litter Pick went ahead today, 14th October, with some thirty folks from St. Andrew's helping, and including a contingent from St. Andrew's guides.

Meeting at 10:00am the helpers paired off and set off, mainly into Red Hall and McMullen Road on this occasion. Meanwhile a small group remained behind to prepare a bread and soup lunch for when the pickers returned at 12:00noon.

As folks returned and the pile of collected litter bags grew it became clear it had been a sucessful day. It''s always amazing just how much litter there is to be collected, even from a small area. Thank you to everyone who took part. Thank you also to the Council for providing the equipment to do the job.

We expect the next Litter Pick to take place in the Spring. Why not plan to join it.
